Engineering: Skills for Business Growth and Sustainability - Sketty Hall - 7th October, 7.45am to 10am

The Dragon Innovation Partnership and Gower College Swansea are  pleased to announce their forthcoming business breakfast event - Engineering: Skills for Business Growth and Sustainability.

This event will provide an opportunity to discuss with us the very latest support and training opportunities available in Engineering/Manufacturing across the Further and Higher education sectors.

Confirmed guest speakers are:

  • Ian Smith [SEMTA, the Sector Skills Council for Science, Engineering and Manufacturing Technologies]
  • Chris Talbot [Dragon Innovation Partnership - collaboration between Swansea Metropolitan University, Swansea University and University of Wales Trinity St David]

Representatives from Go Wales and the Welsh Assembly Government will also be available to talk about funding opportunities for your business training needs.

Experienced teams from the Engineering faculties at Gower College Swansea, Swansea University and Swansea Metropolitan University will be on hand to talk through a variety of assistance and training opportunities.

Information will be available in the areas of Advanced Engineering and Manufacturing along with Automotive, Mechanical Engineering and Product Design.

    Dragon2Dragon – Linking Wales with China

    The Dragon Innovation partnership invites you to spend an afternoon learning about development, innovation and training opportunities with China.

    Date:  28th June 2011

    Time: 12:00 – 17:00

    Venue:  The Dragon Hotel, Swansea

    The event invites speakers from Wales and China to discuss a range of opportunities for developing economic, educational and cultural links between our two countries. The event will appeal to businesses, social enterprises, cultural groups, universities and individuals interested in the opportunities for collaboration and growth between our two countries.

The Welsh Government Regional Centre Service will also be available to give impartial information and guidance in the areas of general business management, HR /Equality and diversity, and environmental management.
