3. Graphic Arts in Manufacture (GAIM)
Graphic Arts in Manufacture (GAIM) KEP will bring together the inherent expertise in Welsh higher education and the large indigenous Welsh printing industry. This will lead to innovative new products (particularly including recycled materials), reduced environmental impact and improved efficiency in both the supply chain and in the process.
This project builds on the WCPC (Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating) expertise in the technology of graphic printing in a knowledge exchange programme with the artistic strengths in design, fabric, ceramics, architectural glass and fine art of Swansea Metropolitan University and Coleg Sir Gar. The aim would be to make Wales renowned for the integration of art into commercial printing, marketing, ceramics and garment manufacture.
