2. WCPC - Print FM - Project Overview
This project builds on the expertise in the Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating (WCPC) to develop the link from research into manufacture. It aims to create capacity in Wales to address the anticipated rapid growth in demand for printed functional materials, particularly plastic electronics, displays and printed intelligence.
Print FM works with partner companies to produce a route into printing functional materials. This comprises of an audit tool to establish their capabilities and best practise guides for various aspects of printing functional materials. The partner companies produce generic demonstrators that can both validate the ability to print functional materials and also act to excite the end users, stimulating demand for Welsh products.
